No ARC title defence for Dowel in 2012

2011 Bosch Australian Rally Champions (ARC), Justin Dowel and Matt Lee, will not defend their national title in 2012, and will instead focus on developing a new car for the 2013 championship season.
With the ARC switching to a two-wheel drive championship this year, the Activ RallySport pairing have made the tough decision to take most of the year off, rather than rushing in to a title defence in a new and unproven car.

Dowel wins 2011 Australian Rally Championship

Victorians Justin Dowel and Matt Lee have won the 2011 Bosch Australian Rally Championship after securing the title after a hard-fought battle over the final event, Rally Victoria, this weekend.
Driving their Activ RallySport Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, Dowel needed to finish the event two places ahead of his Queensland rival, Ryan Smart, and managed that convincingly after the Toyota driver suffered driveshaft failure late in the event.

Dowel's title hopes still alive in Rally Victoria

The Activ RallySport Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX of Justin Dowel and Matt Lee are third after the opening day of Rally Victoria, the final round of the 2011 Bosch Australian Rally Championship.
With only a three-point gap to series leader Ryan Smart, the Victorians need to finish ahead of their main rival to clinch their first national championship.

Tough Coffs Coast Rally for Dowel

Justin Dowel and Matt Lee are still in with a big chance of winning the 2011 Bosch Australian Rally Championship, despite a challenging weekend in the Coffs Coast Rally.
Round four of the national championship was held in conjunction with Australia’s round of the World Rally Championship, and the Activ RallySport team were looking forward to a strong result, but mechanical dramas and treacherous weather conditions meant that their weekend didn’t go exactly to plan.
