matt-lee-150.jpgBorn:  17 May 1975 in Kew VIC
Lives:  Montrose, VIC
Married to: Tracy and proud Father of Oliver
Occupation: IT & Business Systems Manager for Natures Organics.  Also manages logistics and event operations for Activ Rallysport.

Matt Lee was born into a rallying family and attended his first Australian Rally Championship round at the age of just 6 months.  He has been actively involved ever since.

Matt first competed in 1993 in a historic rally with his Father Roger and competed with some success for the next decade.

In 1998 Matt joined the Ford Explorer team led by Ian Swan for the Playstation Round Australia Rally.  In 1999 Matt joined Ian again this time with the Suzuki Race Team for the 1999 Australian Safari.

Matt competed in the Victorian Club Rally Championship, Victorian Rally Championship and selected ARC’s 1999 to 2002, before joining Justin Dowel at the beginning of 2003.  The pairing tasted immediate success winning the P6 class Victorian Rally Championship that year, 3rd outright in the championship in the following year and were crowned Victorian Rally Champions 3 years running after that.

Stepping up to the ARC for 2008, the pairing faced a new set of challenges to once again gain the speed and experience to challenge the pointy end.  The teams focus on learning the roads and processes involved in the nation’s top level of rallying saw them secure the P5 class championship, and 7th outright for their first year in the ARC.

For 2009 the plan is simple – put into action all that has been learnt, and attack!
