Dowel takes ARC class title at Rally SA

Activ RallySport driver, Justin Dowel, has finished the 2009 Australian Rally Championship in fifth place after an impressive display on the final day of Rally South Australia. Driving his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, Dowel and co-driver, Matt Lee, set top four stage times in all but one of the nine stages, including a career best second outright.

Great drive gives Dowel 4th in Heat 1 of Rally South Australia

Activ RallySport’s Justin Dowel and Matt Lee have finished an impressive fourth in Heat 1 of Rally South Australia, the final round of the Australian Rally Championship. Driving their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, the Victorians had a trouble-free day on the shire and forestry roads in the Barossa Valley, maintaining their fourth place in the championship race.

The Activ RallySport team of Justin Dowel and Matt Lee are currently enjoying their most successful season in the Australian Rally Championship. After four of the six rounds, the pair currently lie fourth in the title race, despite retiring from the second heat in Western Australia after a nasty accident left their Lancer Evo IX badly damaged.
