Welcome to the home of Activ RallySport - 2011 Bosch Australian Rally Champions

Activ RallySport are one of Australia's highest profile rally teams, with a string of event and championship successes to their name - culminating with victory in the 2011 Bosch Australian Rally Championship.

2011 was their most successful season to date, with Justin Dowel and Matt Lee taking a ground-breaking debut victory in the South Australian round of the Bosch Australian Rally Championship.

The result confirmed their status as one of the leading team in the  ARC, but like most rally drivers, Dowel had to work his way to the top of the sport.

He started his rallying in a Datsun 1600, competing in novice and club level rallies, before progressing to a more powerful and competitive Mazda RX7.

Hyundai i20 surpassed all expectations with a debut podium

Image2011 Australian Rally Champion, Justin Dowel, has described his new Hyundai i20 rally car as “the most exciting and rewarding car” he’s ever driven, after debuting the new machine in Canberra last weekend.

Running in the 4WD section of the two-day National Capital Rally, Dowel and co-driver, Matt Lee, were in a very strong position and about to take the lead in the event going into the final stage, only for two punctured tyres that saw them drop to third place overall.

Dowel concedes he must have Lee for 2014 ARC

dowellee150.jpg2011 Australian Rally Champion, Justin Dowel, has conceded that he needs to have his former co-driver, Matt Lee, back in the left-hand seat if he’s to be a contender for the 2014 national title.

The pair won the crown at the wheel of their Activ RallySport Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, however Lee hasn’t co-driven since, with work commitments keeping him out of the rally car and in the office.
